The ebraiding.net Advisory Board has been established to advise the ebraiding.net executive team on issues related to Hair Braiding and Natural Hair Care in the United States.
EAB's activities and advice provide the necessary input to ensure that the company's mission statement is fully and well implemented so as to enhance the overall growth of the Hair Braiding and Natural Hair Care industries. The 10-member Advisory Board assists ebraiding.net in maintaining a complete and accurate understanding of Hair Braiding and Natural Hair Care issues critical to the success of the implementation of the organization's programs.
Composed of eminent professionals from different sectors, the diverse memberships of the Board assure the expertise reflecting the full breadth of ebraiding.net's responsibilities in the Hair Braiding and Natural Hair Care environment in the United States.

Laquita Thomas-Banks Position:ebraiding.net Advisory Board Member |  | Laquita Thomas-Banks has a bachelor?s degree in Journalism from the University of Maryland and has been professionally writing/editing for over 15 years. She has been ?doing hair? for over 25 years. Laquita started her own hair styling business at the age of 13. She loves combining her Journalism skills and knowledge of natural hair by writing about DIY styling/maintenance techniques, bargain product finds, as well as product recipes that she has learned through her natural hair journey.
Throughout her career, Laquita has worked for media outlets, both print and online, and has contributed to several natural hair blogs, and online magazines. Currently, she is a fulltime editor and freelance writer. She is also the creator of All Naptural blog, which focuses on styling and maintaining natural hair, the DC Natural Hair Examiner for Examiner.com, and CEO of up and coming Bobeam Natural Hair Products.

Chatto Wright Position:ebraiding.net Advisory Board Member |  | Chatto, (pronounced Shah-toe), is the talented hair designer and aesthetician, a 25 year veteran of the hair and skincare industries and the President of Chatto Incorporated located in the heart of Chicago's prestigious Oak Street.
In an industry that is highly competitive and constantly changing, Chatto manages to withstand the test of time, evolving as any professional should to a level of perfection that is admired by her peers. She specializes in hair design, maintenance and aesthetics for European, Asian, and African clientele. Chatto has truly amazing survival instincts. She'll tell you, "I can do anything." Her store, Chatto Salon and Chatto Oassis has been located at 102 E. Oak Street on Chicago's Gold Coast for 16 years and has gained unprecedented success for its quality and service.
Chatto always had a passion for health and beauty that makes her stay abreast with the latest trends and technique of the industry. Chatto has studied at the Aquarius Academy Institute in London, England, where she worked as a platform artist. The Versa chi Institute in Washington DC helped her appreciate the causes of Baldness, Alopecia, Hair Extensions and Hair Weaving as well as techniques for constructing and perfectly fitting Dermabrasion wigs and toupees. At Vidal Sassoon in Canada, she obtained a certificate in advanced Hair cutting and coloring, and at Pivot Point and the Biosthetics Institute in Chicago, she received a Degree in Esthetics. Her experience in esthetics helped her to create her own cosmetic line known as Chatto? she is currently working towards her Masters and Ph.D. in Advanced Cosmetology in Hair design at Dudley University in North Carolina. Her many years of study has afforded her great award and honor in the beauty industry. For two years she traveled to China to participate in the Chinese Festival of Arts and Fashion where she was the hair makeup artist of the 12 American and 5 Chinese models. Her passion in weaving and braiding techniques has traveled her to most West African countries such as Ghana, Senegal, The Gambia, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso, to learn and gain experience in other skin treatment and healing techniques. In 1994, Chatto was the finalist for the North American Hair Styling Award. And, in year 2001, she was awarded the Booker T. Washington Award for entrepreneurship.

Darryl H.V. Goodman Position:ebraiding.net Advisory Board Member |  | A native of Johns Island, SC, and a 1971 Graduate of St. Johns High School, Johns
Island SC. After completing High School he matriculated to Wilberforce University, Wilberforce Ohio. However, after one year, Darryl was drafted into the US Army. After completion of his 3 year tour, he returned to Wilberforce and completing a BS in Business and was commissioned as a 2Lt in the US Army Reserve.
LTC (R) Goodman?s Military career has given him the opportunity to serve in both the 1st and the current Gulf wars. He has had duty in a variety of locations around the Globe.
In 1984, Darryl received an Associate Degree from Trident Technical College in North Charleston, SC in Commercial Graphic. After receiving his Degree, He started Goodman Morgan Alston Graphic and Photography. He had done extensive Graphic and Photography works for various people and most recently for the Bishop of the 7th AME District in South Carolina.
In 1996 Darryl received a Master in International Logistics from Texas A&M International in Laredo, TX. Darryl is a full time Business and Logistics Instructor at Trident Technical College in Charleston, SC. Darryl was hired in 2000 to complete the development of the Logistic program.
Darryl teaches a number of Small Business and Logistics courses.
Since 2006 Darryl and his associates of Lowcountryexposure, has hosted a Fashion and Beauty Seminar in Charleston SC. The Seminar focused on the Fashion and Beauty Industry through classroom lectures, CEU classes, Fashion Show and product demonstration.
In 2009, we added a Nature Beauty Seminar in October, with the focus on the Natural Hair and its growing choice by Women for its styles.
Darryl is affiliated with Masonic orders and the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.

Lady Kinnks Position:ebraiding.net Advisory Board Member |  | Lady Kinnks is the gather of all things natural hair. Her obsession with kinky curls birthed the web?s natural hair resource Kinnks.com. Her fascination with natural hair started as a sophomore in her Connecticut high school, and followed her to Philadelphia where she received a BBA with a concentration in Marketing. Now based in Richmond, Virginia Kinnks.com displays a blog of positive Black aesthetics, over 400 categorized natural hair links and much more. Lady Kinnks also works full time within the hospitality industry. | |
Aziza Yasmine Position:ebraiding.net Advisory Board Member |  | Born with gifted fingers, Aziza Yasmine, owner of A II Z Naturals Ltd, is a licensed natural hair designer specializing in hair care for people of all ages and ethnicities. Aziza began work in a braid salon in Cleveland, Ohio at the age of thirteen and has since mastered the art of Braiding, Weaving and Locing. As campus hair stylist during her undergraduate years at Miami University, she earned enough money to pay for a study abroad program in Ghana, West Africa. Studies in Urban Planning and Black History took her deep into West Africa, where she created a map guide for tourists in the Kumasi Central Market. Navigating the market lead her to an area where hundreds of women sat for hours having intricate braid styles created. Watching and learning many techniques from the women, Aziza came to view the art form as a valuable asset to the African American community. " Braiding and locing involves bonding of spirits, the exchange of knowledge and ideas, and the inspiration to be proud of who we are what God gave us. Natural Haircare is truly the foundation of the Afrocentric Holistic Hairstory."
Aziza Yasmine has strived to perfect her unique ability. As a Managing Natural Hair Stylist for the Ohio State Board of Cosmetology she has proven to be a master of afrocentric hair design, being honored with 1st place title in Los Angeles at the 2008 Milky Way "Welcome to the Future" hair competition. Named by Glynn Jackson as the Natural Hair Stylist of the Year at the 16th Annual Golden Scissors Awards Dec 2008 in D.C. Ms. Yasmine has appeared in Sophisticates Black Hair magazine along with other notable publications such as Ohio City Trends and Braids World magazine. Aziza has also established an annual event "A Natural Hair Love Affair" a celebration of natural hair and beauty care. The event benefits area high school cosmetology education by promoting natural hair care and beauty awareness. The goal is to encourage students and stylists to become trendsetters in the black haircare industry. Aziza believes, "It is time we reclaim our Hairitage". Aziza's creative talent, along with her enthusiasm and desire to share, has provided the community with invaluable insight into the world of natural hair care.
